The BIG Thing

right, just like the above-mentioned title, the BIG thing in Renaissance Choir is over !! now, if you're wondering, we did not brought back the champion title nor any trophy, but we're glad that we fall into the silver category, and we assume that it is a silver 10 category.. muahahaha! im not going to 'lecture' about what happen every single minute while we're at s'pore, just some hightlights of the whole event. ~ the 7 of us who couldnt join the majority in the morning, took a bus (NICE ++, highly recommended, better than all transnational or konsortium or anything at puduraya) the whole journey was very comfortable, i thought i was flying on a plane ! we even have bus-steward to serve us with F&B. by the time we reached, everyone was asleep. pity qy that he has to sleep on the lobby as the snoring sound in the male's dorm was pretty loud. hehe! until we reach the next morning that i got to see all my friends in RC, had breakfast at the lobby. that was when a few of us met this sweedish man, had a chit chat with him (i do most of the listening, hehe!) anyway, he told us that he is in the middle of him travel-around-the-world journey, he is originally a language teacher in a high school back in sweeden, he has a year holiday and use it for world traveling. he said that it will take him 9 months to finish traveling, he is now in the middle of it. wow!! what he is doing now is actually one of my dreams! a dream that i'll never know when to fulfil. salute Kent! ~ thereafter, we had our practice in the lobby as well, luckily we're allowed to do that. it was wholly a different environment practising like that, but it was fun! i felt very warm, all were seriously practising. took lots of photos there, funny ones, happy ones, king was like the unofficial photographer of our trip. he has already started snapping photographs since friday morning before departing from bk while doing our morning gongyo. hehe! but besides king, there are lots of cameras from the others too, i guess in total we have like about 10 cameras, hehe or more? i dont know. but i really like one taken by matt, the part where all the altors were massaging each other, and so happen i was the only one standing, so it looks like we're having a massaging class and i was the instructor. hehe! what a good take! hehehe! guess altors are not only good in singing! =p ~had our lunch later at orchard, we're the only group that took the mrt, bringing ourselves out from chinatown aka petaling street in malaysia. =p trust me, chinatown is not interesting AT ALL! stepping into orchard makes me remiscise my shopping spree i had 3 years ago with tt and ss. the 3 days was fully dedicated to shopping ! hehe! that is what i call real shopping ! remembering it vividly, we set out at 10am in the morning, and walk and shop, buy, see, pay, until 10 pm at night, and repeating it again the next day. =p ~anywho, later on we went to Singapore Performing Arts Centre to have our another-practise, to me, that place was more of a old high school than a performing arts centre. sigh. i felt really tired while practising, i felt it since morning but felt it even more while practicing there. but i did try my best to have the spirit of performing, so guess no one actually notice that i was yawning like once every 15 minutes. purposely did it while singing at some parts where we have to pull a note for like a few bars. hehehe ! ~for dinner, we had it at lao pa sa (but i usually call it tau sa pao =p) and then, it was time to head to the concert hall. the climax of the whole trip! everyone got ready, touch-up on make up, changed into costume, put on cosages and we're ready to go ! minutes before walking up, we have a short session, a sharing session from sh reminding us again our mission to be in s'pore, that is to spread peace through our voices and not for the sake of winning, remembering our mentor, daisaku ikeda, also had his first step of doing kosenrufu worldwide, we should carry the same spirit as ikeda sensei. all of us were holding hands, sh kept encouraging us, conveying all the messages that people sent to us, like RC2, pacific choir, our sgm high leaders and so on. that short session was definitely a touched moment for all of us. even tears could be seen coming down from ml's eyes, everything was so touched ! =) we, the altors, created our very own cheer, clapping the hands of the one standing beside us and creating a circle. =) while on stage, i didnt take it as a competition, i was nervous at all, i didnt had any stage fright at all, my heart was beating normally, it was just like another practise! we returned to the waiting hall after that, waited for others to perform and for the announcement of result later on. we;re like the most happening group inside, making all the noisy, cheering for teams are came in and those that going out to perform. it was like as it we're the host. paiseh nya! did a lot of talking that time, was trying so hard to be energatic, or not i will fall asleep, and my contact lens is killing me =( and finally, it was time to announce the result. as i mention earlier, we've got into silver category, got a cert-plaque but we're happy! though deep down i felt a slight disspaointment, but its ok, it's already a victory for RC as we've overcome all problems and to be here in singapore at that very moment =) before heading back to sleep, we had supper at this hongkong char chan teng , before that, my cousin came and meet me to get her stuff, gosh she is getting thinner and thinner! after that, we head back to summer tavern, some of them went out to marina bay to snap photos, wanted very much to join but there is a part of me saying better not, partly because my eyes are very dry (been wearing contact lens for the whole day) and i suddenly remind of something after queen said something about out at night, haih, 3 years ago, and its still hard for me to let it off my mind about that indident. so on 2nd thought, better go and sleep, sleepy ! ~woke up on sunday morning only to find out that we're going to SSA to have an exchange meet with soke chorus members! they went through a hard night only to get this meet done in the morning. its worth it, its a good opportunity to meet them =) but unfortunately i didnt have much discusion with them, i was too afraid to speak mandarin! arrgghh!! ~thereafter, it was time to big goodbye to them, saying sayonara to ssa and singapore !! tata!!

*more photos soon, until i get all the photos from others =)
