Grace.C: singapore - shopping paradise

it was a pure-shopping trip for the last 2 days in s'pore. first day, from 2-11pm, second day from 12-10pm. well, it wasnt so bad after all, compared to what we did 4 years ago, from 10am to 10am. hehe. anyway, the christmas atmosphere in s;pore is very much better, christmas tree everywhere, salesgirls in santa hat, boutiques with christmas songs, the whole orchard road was decorated colorfully. met with derrel and kiau and mipok, had dinner/lunch with them. oh ya ! while tt and i was walking back to our hotel on our first day, we witnessed an incident. in the middle of orchard road, outside takashimaya (the center point of orchard), we saw a whole bunch of people gathered surrounding something in the middle. when we apprach nearer, we found out that someone was fainted, and there are a few people trying to help him. it was quite hard for me to see everything as there are lots of people standing before me. but when i got in closer, the fainted man was conscious again, but he was running amok, he was mentally unstable, his mum and one uncle was trying to catch hold of him, to stop him from behaving like that. and i notice, his mum's (the aunty)'s skirt was torn, can even see her panty. then we walk away for a while, cause we were quite near to that mentally unstable guy. soon after, some policemen arrice at the scene, and separate the 3 of them (the guy, the mum and the uncle). i was standing in front of the police car. the aunty was handcuffed, she was crying and begging the police officer to let go her, saying that she has to go to the hospital with her son, saying that her son is a good boy, but due to some childhood problems, he is suffering from a disease etc etc. she didnt want to get into the police car, and continue to beg the policeman. in the mean time, the son was about 3 meters in front, was still unstable, mumbling and shouting, asking the uncle and the mum not to tell lies and all. not long after that, an ambulans arrive, but the guy was not sent into the car. the negotiating process lasted for quite some time. onlookers from everywhere stopped by to see what happen. tt and i was standing at a very strategic place, everything happen right in front of us. secretly i took a few photos.. =p
