To have worry or to be confronted by obstacles and other are a very normal process for human being. But Nichiren Buddhism emphasized the fact that we are ultimately responsible for our own life. Our happiness and peace of mind depends entirely on our own effort and attitude in faith. The ultimate purpose of practicing Buddhism is to achieve a high life condition that will enable us to use problems and obstacles as a springboard for growth and not be affected negatively by them. We manifest our Buddhahood as we are and there is no need to ask for anything from outside, no need to go anywhere or become anyone else. It is our life itself that is worthy of greatest respect and praise. Because Buddhism is the Law of Cause & Effect, faith exists for us to change our lives to become happy. There is an anology that says that if we want to travel somewhere, first we have to decide our destination, and then we plan on the action for eg. the route and mode of transport and then we travel and reach that destination. Likewise in Faith, we must have a clear target, a clear prayer & a clear action. Action mentioned here does not mean an overnight dose. Rather it equals to lots of efforts and accumulation, because to become absolutely happy is not a destination but a condition to strive and advance. Defeat the fear in you, set the determination and then take action. Of course everybody situation is different but according to specific situations there is different ways of actions. To move to this right way, we call it the Buddha wisdom. Take things one step at a time as there is no wholesome formula to direct us what we can do to overcome problems. As long as we chant and determine to do it, our wisdom and life condition will carry us for a change. President Ikeda says that our daimoku of faith will move the force of the universe according to our needs.
Nichiren Buddhism teaches about inner potential in our life...Nichiren buddhist of soka gakkai believe inner potential and not relying on outside force or external force to help us...
we believe in the mystic law of the universe, a universal law ... Our life and the mystic law are one...we aren ot separated from the mystic law..Nichiren daishonin,B uddha of the latter day reveal that this MysticLaw is none other than NAM MYO HO RENGE KYO.. Nichiren buddhist of soka gakkai chant this mystic law, which isMYO HO REN GE KYO..The reason we chant this mystic law is to merge our life with the universal mystic law which i say earlier, ourl ife and the mystic law are one..together..when we chant this mystic law,we manifest the inner strengh or inner potential from within our life..we bring forth ourinner good fortune..
when we practice Nichiren buddhism,we chant the mystic law, which is NAM MYOHO RN GE KYO,that does not mean we begor ask the mystic law to help us,it is not meant to be like that..we chant to bring forth our inner potential..For example, when we have a problem in life,we need to solve it rather than escaping from it...No one can avoidproblems...not even sages...in order to solve our problem, Nichiren buddhistof soka Gakkai chant the mystic law, which is NAM MYO HO REN GEKYO...we chant to manifest ourwisdom, courage and confidence to solveour problem...It may seems that thist eaching and concept is very simple...but in actuality it is very profound because here we are talking about bringing forth our inner potential and good fortune..
Nichiren Daishonin buddhism teaches that we must not chant or pray for solution and just sit down wating for an answer...we have to take action to solve it,when we chant we bring forth our wisdom...so we have to use it by taking action...
