Recently I sign up to join the 3C programme (Cross Cultural Communication). And attended the first workshop today. The purpose of this programme is to bring in students from all over the world, to gather and to learn from each other over the diversity of culture in different countries. Well, i thought this is something that i should give it ago, rather than just going uni and sgi activities, i should enrich my life here, engaging with more people in the community. we'll all grouped into groups of 6-7, with a "mentor" as the coordinator, and for the next 7 weeks, we're going to learn and share in this group. i must say that i was quite disappointed of my own group, as 3 of them are also from Malaysia. im not trying to discriminate people from my own country but if im to mix around with people from my own country then it would destroy the whole purpose of me joining this programme. initially, i really wanted to request for a change of group, but i didnt know why i didnt. so i guess im just gonna stick to this group for the next 7 weeks. anyway, im not troubled by it, since there are more malaysians, i thought instead of getting more from others, we may as well share more on our culture in our country. oh did i mention that upon completing all workshops, we'll be given a certificate of completion? im so excited!havent been receiving certificates since donkeys years. =p
