left uni for 3C conference in melbourne convention centre. this place is HUGE, i almost got lost inside. it took me more than 20 mins to locate stephanie, who was suppose to met me at the foyer but she was no where to be seen when i reach. walked around aimlessly trying to find a familiar face which was almost impossible as the people there are all staffs from various universities. went to the registration booth to ask where am i suppose to go, they are not sure either, cause there are about 5 workshops running at the same time. i called step's office and told her assistant what happen. minutes later i got a call from her and then we met up finally, walked here and there to find the conference room and finally reach there just on time to kick off the conferenence. phew ! anyway, everyhthing went well in the workshop, just like how i expected. 4 of us spoke together, 2 mentors and 2 mentees. it was good to represent RMIT, this earn me a free movie ticket and meeting new people in the education workforce. =)
left the conference and tram up to RMIT Village to get some information about their accomodation. was quite disappointed to learn that the only one available for now is 2 bed studio - the least that i wanted. anyway, i submitted my application still, hoping that someone would move out from any of their 3 bedroom accomodation by next year. if this doesnt work, im going to stick to my initial plan to look for one when i return to melb next year.
in the evening, i attended morai kozaru weekly meeting. though it was a full on day but i felt fresh during the meeting and after the meeting. got really inspired by d's experience on his battle with his work, he almost ended up in jail just because of a simple misunderstanding. other than that, we discuss briefly about ichinen sanzen. we're going to start our study course again next week onwards. the last one was held in april/may, i was teamed up with cherie, andy and ly. this time around im with genevieve and pe! am quite excited about it. but our presention wont start until november as we'll doing the 3rd session, which by the way is the most complicated part. we were just choosing it randomly didnt know what session 3 is all about, haha, but then we're all geared up to give our best into understanding it.
i was hoping to end the day in high spirit. but i was quite disturbed by this dilemma with my work when so many people were commenting bout it, both supporters and detractors. but im glad at least one of them were really encouraging. encouraging not in the sense that i was pressured to quit or i shouldnt but to be able to see things positively no matter what decision i make. thanks! =)
