recently i got close with meg, a soka member from India. she was the one who initiates the on-going dance that will be performed on 3.16 celebration, sort of like the main PIC for the dance. hence, i see her on every dance practices. as we both heads to the same place everytime after practice, we would take trams or trains together. that was the time we started to know each other better. on surface, she seems to be an ordinary young women who just completed her masters, she is 23 by the way. it was only few days ago that i found out that she is currently working as a tutor is monash and melbourne uni. she takes on tutorial classes for both undergrad and POST GRAD students. i was really amazed by the fact that she had just completed her masters end of last year, and now, a few months later she is teaching in a university of the course that she studied (economics). the fact that she's teaching undergrad has already surprised me, but post grad ? she's good, i mean GOOD. she's just 23 this year and yet she doing something extraordinary, i wouldnt see myself as far as she goes when i turn 23. she told me most of her undergrad students are of the same age as her or one or two years younger than her and when i ask
"what about your post grad students?"
she answered with her typical Indian accent
"most of them are older than me"
and i look at her speechless.... she exemplifies what 'ordinary but extraordinary' means. hats off meg!
