*after walking out from the doctor's room, i walk to the receptionist to pay for consultation fee*
Receptionist: That's 59 dollars, thank you
me: there you go, 59.
Receptionist: that's your change, thank you!
me: thanks. *put money into wallet and stood there waiting*
Receptionist: have a nice day *smiling*
Me: *look at her and said thanks and continue to stand there waiting*
Receptionist: er, do you want to make another appointment?
Me: no, what about the medication?
Receptionist: oh, you just bring the prescription to a chemist
Me: *opps! only to realise clinics in western countries do not give away medication but trying not to be awkward i said : "oh, any chemist will do right? thanks." *and walks away immediately*

today i went to see another doctor, apparently the medication that the first doctor prescribe is not working as my lips continue to swell. not just that, im starting to have rashes all over my face, red patches everywhere on my nose and cheeks. not to mention that it's itchy on my neck and ears. sigh, i really dont know what's happening to me! i guess that was the side effect from the phernegan tablets that i took. so today, i went to medical clinic on swanston street to consult another doctor. wanted to see an allergist but only to found out i have to have a referral letter from a local doctor. wasted my time searching all over in the internet for allergist around my area and for me taking the trouble to walk to collins street near spring to look for the specialist doc only to found out that the clinic is not open. basically my past few days was a disaster. i was so low in mood, stayed at home everday without talking to anyone, trying to avoid my housemate and her mum. the only time i open my mouth is when my family call or when i heard a nice song from the radio and sing a tune to it. other than that, i drink lots of water, making me visit the toilet countless times. but today, things seems to improve. this 2nd doctor gave me a stronger medication, and i think its working. i ate two tablets at noon and slept til 6pm, woke up and the swell on my lips has come down a little, until now it's still alright. i hope tomorrow it will stay til tomorrow morning. normally the swell is worst in the morning, the first thing i do in the morning is to look at myself in the mirror only to see my lips in its worst situation, having two fat sausages sticking out on my lips. imagine, what a disaster to start a day! for now, im keeping my fingers cross til tomorrow morning. another thing, i didnt have to pay any medical fee this morning. apparently, the clinic that i went is 100% subsidize by medibank, thus for oversea student like me who is compulsary to apply for medibank card, all medical fee will be covered. just show them the card. but i still have to pay for the medication bought from chemist. unless it is more than 37.50, then it's free. anyway, i think its really good, i save about 30 dollars for being a member of medibank. im not planning to work tomorrow, though my current situation is alright. i just feel like having another day rest to make sure im completely ok before working again.
